Our carbon calcultor is designed for residential users who know about how much money they spend on various aspects of daily life. For a very accurate estimate you would have to keep track of your expenditurs over the course of a month, but you can also give a ballpark guess for the spending in each category. This carbon calculator utilizes carbon coefficients taken from a paper in Ecological Economics by Md Rumi Shammin and Clark W. Bullard (see bottom of page for full citation).
